Currently the HistoryShareForum.com is closed for maintenance. Unlike the History Teachers' Discussion forum where the membership is tightly monitored, the open nature of this forum has allowed spammers to post messages and waste everyone's time.
We will attempt to remove all the spam and then reassess the situation.
The plan is to remove the spammers, fix the database and introduce a system along the lines that I use at http://www.effectiveict.co.uk/forum where new members have to have a number of posts approved before they become visible. It is a shame as the whole point about this forum is that it was open for immediate use, but the recent spammers / spam-bots have caused too many problems.
Update 4: Thu 12 Jan 2012 Still no resurrected forum as the database still needs to be repaired by the experts and spam posts removed.
